The therapists of Balans in Bewegen

Elise Kramer has been the practice owner since 2013, specializing as a pediatric exercise therapist and sensory processing therapist. She has expertise in sleep therapy but prefers to refer children with only sleep issues to her colleague Eveline.
Elise treats patients at the practice location in The Hague on Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as at the Merel Foundation in Leiden. On Mondays and Tuesdays, she works from her role as a practice owner, overseeing the team.

Elise is an enthusiastic and dedicated therapist. She finds it rewarding to help children discover their own abilities and guide parents through this process. When a child achieves something, it can bring a smile to her face for the rest of the day. She is a resource for anything related to motor skills, movement, and sensory processing, and she enjoys giving workshops and presentations on these topics.
She also enjoys coaching the staff so that everyone can benefit from the qualities of Balans in Bewegen.

Elise is married and the mother of Nina (2011), Eva (2013), and David (2017). She is active in Eva’s basketball club, enjoys running along the Katwijk boulevard, and loves organizing dinners for friends and family.

Eveline is a Cesar exercise therapist, pelvic floor exercise therapist, and sleep therapist for both adults and children. She works from Monday to Friday at the practice locations in The Hague and Katwijk/Rijnsburg (Wednesday).

Eveline is an enthusiastic, eager-to-learn therapist. She excels in unraveling physical complaints in both young and old. She sees many pregnant women and works closely with Mundo Midwives. Additionally, she enjoys seeing adolescents who, after therapy, are back in school on time due to improved sleep patterns, and parents who can finally get a good night’s sleep themselves. But she is just as delighted to see an elderly lady who can walk (literally) again or a man who can live life without headaches.

Eveline lives with Florian in The Hague. On weekends, she enjoys taking ballet classes or spending time with friends. Additionally, she loves knitting and playing video games, which often comes in handy in her work with adolescents.

Milan Absil is a Mensendieck exercise therapist and a pediatric exercise therapist in training. He has been working at Balans in Bewegen since 2020. From Tuesday to Friday, he works in The Hague at primary schools De Jeroen, Archipelschool, Eloutschool, De Tweemaster, and De Meerpaal. Additionally, he works at the practice location in The Hague on Wednesday afternoons and teaches toddler gym classes.

Milan is an active, sporty therapist. He remains steadfast and sees it as a challenge to work together with the child in a creative, enjoyable, and educational manner to achieve the ultimate goal.

Milan lives with his girlfriend in Delft. In addition to his work as an exercise therapist, he can often be found on the hockey field at Ring Pass Delft. Here, he plays in the first team and has also coached and trained teams in the past.

Lauran Zwart has been working at Balans in Bewegen since 2021 as a pediatric exercise therapist and sensory processing therapist. Lauran works from Monday to Thursday at A.M.G. Schmidtschool, Bernardus, Baanbreker, and ‘t Palet. Additionally, he also works at the practice location in The Hague on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Lauran is a cheerful, active therapist. His day is successful when he sees that the child is enjoying themselves while also learning and making progress. He enjoys collaborating with children and the energy they bring. Lauran is also a sociable addition to every school where he works and is always up for a new challenge.

Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, running, working out, or exploring the city of Rotterdam where he resides. Furthermore, he likes fishing or hiking in the beautiful outdoors.

Bart Duivenvoorden has been working at Balans in Bewegen since 2020 as a pediatric exercise therapist. He works from Monday to Friday in Katwijk at Willem van Veenschool, Brugghenschool, Prins Willem-Alexanderschool, and De Verrekijker. On Fridays, he treats children from the “samen naar school-klas” at the Merel Foundation in Leiden. Additionally, he also works at the practice location in Katwijk (Zeehos) on Monday and Wednesday afternoons

Bart is a true sports enthusiast. He is always up for a game of basketball, football, table tennis, or any other fun physical activity. With his passion for sports, Bart aims to inspire children to enjoy physical activity and teach them new skills in a good and safe manner. Nothing brings Bart more joy than seeing a child’s face light up with a smile when they achieve a new milestone.

Bart lives in Leiden with his girlfriend. He plays basketball and is active in equestrian competitions.

Ranjeeta Debi Tewari has been working at the practice since 2021. She is a pediatric exercise therapist, sleep therapist, and pelvic floor exercise therapist. She works on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Algemene Hindoestaanse Basisschool, Bernardus (both in The Hague), and the Marnixschool (Katwijk). Additionally, she also works at the practice location in Katwijk (de oude Coepel) on Tuesday and Thursday.

Ranjeeta is a kind, enthusiastic all-round exercise therapist with extensive work experience. She is open to new ideas and enjoys devising plans to further develop the practice and her own skills. Ranjeeta finds joy in seeing a child who can finally write neatly, to an adult who can sleep through the night again.

Ranjeeta lives in The Hague. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children, aged 5 and 7. Additionally, she practices the Indian classical dance form Bharata Natyam.

Bart Roorda is a pediatric exercise therapist. He works on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in The Hague at ‘t Palet, the Eerste Nederlandse Montessorischool, De Valkenbos, and on Friday afternoons at the practice location on Scheveningseweg.

Bart is a sporty therapist with extensive work experience. Movement is in his DNA, which is why he finds joy in helping children improve their motor skills every time. Bart also enjoys interacting with parents and teachers and is eager to share his knowledge with them and other stakeholders.

Bart lives in Gouda and is active in the lifeguard association, currently as a competitive swimmer but previously as a coach as well. Additionally, he is an avid cyclist and enjoys windsurfing and mountain biking. Bart is married and a father of two girls.

Barbara has been working at the practice since 2021. She is a Mensendieck exercise therapist and a pelvic floor exercise therapist in training, also specializing in medical taping. She works on Monday and Tuesday at the practice locations in Katwijk (Zeehos) and Rijnsburg (Smidstraat).

Barbara is a true exercise therapist who sees the body as a whole. She enjoys working with clients to achieve pain-free and smooth movement. Due to her own experience with (sports) injuries, she can empathize well with clients.

Barbara lives in Hoofddorp and enjoys going for long walks with friends, volunteering for the food bank, and playing volleyball in her daily life.

Esmeralda is a franchisee within Balans in Bewegen. She is an exercise therapist, pelvic floor exercise therapist, stress and relaxation therapist, and a member of the Chronic Pain Network. Additionally, she is a sleep therapist for pregnant women, babies, children, and adults. She works on Tuesday and Friday at the location in Noordwijk.

Esmeralda finds it challenging to solve the puzzle together with the client. Where do the complaints come from? And how can you work together to ensure recovery? She gladly takes on the challenge and draws from her years of work experience.

Esmeralda lives in Noordwijk with her husband, two sons, and one daughter.
